Step 1 – Activate the USB debugging mode of your Sony Xperia Z1. To do this, go to the “settings” menu and click at developer option.

Step 2– After you are done with first step, download and install suitable Sony Xperia Z1 USB drivers in your PC.

Step 3 – Establish connection between your device and PC by using the USB cable.

Step 4 – After the connection is established, download SuperSU program from a source link.

Step 5 – Copy the zip file to the root folder of SD card that is present in your phone.

Step 6 – After copying the zip file in SD card, disconnect your phone from the PC and switch off the device.

Step 7 – Restart your Sony Xperia Z1.

Step 8 – Put your phone in recovery mode by pressing and holding volume down key. The process will be successful when you find that a green LED is glowing.

Step 9 – Now, look into the zip folder installed in SD card and select the SuperSU file, which you copied earlier. Give a confirmation to your selection by pressing the power button.

Step 10 – Wait until the SuperSU file is installed.
